We caught up with Head of Payroll Caroline Lindau and Corporate Development Director Arvid Lindroos to talk about Skovik and how they think the system’s ease of use sets us apart from other expense management systems, and makes using the system a positive experience for everyone involved.

A lasting first impression

Arvid has been using Skovik since it was first implemented at Logent back in 2015. After years of working with the system, he’s formed a clear view of its strengths:

“As a system, if I start with the basics, it’s simple, intuitive and uncomplicated. Maybe those are all versions of the same word, but that’s my overall impression. And I mean that in a very positive way. Everyone I’ve come across or spoken with over the years have always said ‘This is super easy. I don’t need training. I don’t need a manual to get started’”.

Caroline’s also well-versed in Skovik. She joined Logent only a couple of years after they had implemented the system, and prior to that, she was involved in implementing Skovik at a previous workplace. Her impression of the system is similar to Arvid’s.

I agree, that’s completely it, she says in response to him. And it’s really easy to work in, even for those of us on the admin side. It’s just simple. And you keep adding new features all the time that make things even easier and better. Your support is really great too.

The support they receive from Skovik’s customer success team stands out to both of them. They describe it as quick and helpful, and the team as attentive. They agree it’s one of the reasons they’d recommend Skovik.

Growing with ease

During the 10 years that Logent has been using Skovik, they’ve added multiple new subsidiaries to the system, and they’re currently in the process of adding another one. Arvid describes the process as low effort:

“The threshold for implementing new subsidiaries is extremely low. If we were to onboard another Swedish company today, it would go incredibly quickly. And from our perspective, it really doesn’t make a difference if it’s a new country. That was definitely our experience when we added Finland”.

This flexibility is something the team values, especially as they continue to grow:

A clear example is that our aim isn’t to have lots of separate country-specific setups. Some local elements do exist of course, but since many of our managers work cross-country, it helps if they’re aligned, Arvid says.

So, from an approval and management perspective, not having to use a separate system for each country is a real benefit. Being able to work in a more unified way really makes things easier, he adds.

An easier day-to-day

Another benefit to Skovik is the time it saves them, says Caroline. She explains how it eases their workload to have built-in guidance from the system for both end-users and admins. This guidance shows up in the form of warnings and blockings, and act as reminders of how things should be done:

“It really makes our job a lot easier when reviewing expenses. We can immediately see if there’s something that we need to have a closer look at. It definitely saves us time and the risk of mistakes is much lower”.

She continues: The users get really clear guidance from these things as well, so I’d definitely say there’s been less errors.

When asked what she likes most about Skovik, Caroline is quick to answer: It makes our jobs a lot easier, she says. It’s easy to use, it’s smooth, and it’s straightforward. And as an end-user it’s really nice being able to snap a quick photo and then you’re done.

Arvid weighs in: I think it’s fair to say that you’re market leading. I haven’t seen tons of systems, but I’ve seen a few, and Skovik is without a doubt the best I’ve come across. From the perspective I know best, as an approver, Skovik is much simpler and better than anything else I’ve used.

He continues:

“What I really appreciate, as you’ve probably gathered, is how simple it is. That might sound like a small thing, but it’s incredibly intuitive, helpful, and easy to work with. I think it’s a real strength that the interface stays clean. It’s not cluttered, there aren’t a bunch of confusing views, you see what you need to see.”

He concludes: I think that’s why people like Skovik so much.
