”I’m passionate about how much I like Skovik”

We reached out to Malin Riise and Madeleine Löfgren, who we spoke with on separate occasions. Malin is finance and payroll assistant for Stille’s subsidiary in the United States, oversees branch offices in France, Belgium, Germany and Italy, and is in charge of payroll in Sweden. Madeleine is financial lead for one of their Swiss subsidiaries, which is soon to go live with Skovik. They talked to us about how Skovik makes their lives easier, from an admin point of view and as end-users of the system.

Experiencing Skovik as end-users

Both Malin and Madeleine had their first encounters with Skovik as end-users of the system. They describe Skovik as really easy to get started with and say there’s a logic to the system which makes it easy to navigate.

Madeleine mentions the per diem functionality as a personal favourite, and compares it to the system she used prior to joining Stille, which wasn’t as intuitive. You don’t need to think so much. You just enter the times, and it takes care of itself. You don’t need to know the rules about allowances. The system just spits it out, she says.

The fact that Skovik doesn’t require a lot of knowhow from the end-users is something Malin mentions as well. This makes Skovik easy to use for all their employees, she says, from manufacturing to management. And I really appreciate that. That everyone, really, is able to use it.

Discovering Skovik’s flexibility

When Malin started using Skovik as an admin, she was impressed by how much power such an easy system could hold:

“Back when I was just using it to do my own expenses, I already thought it was super smooth to use. But of course, once you’re on the other side, you really understand the ease of being able to do all this, and the possibilities it brings”.

Something both Malin and Madeleine appreciate when it comes to Skovik’s flexibility is the ease of adjusting their setup based on country specific preferences and requirements. This enables them to house their subsidiaries in the same system, which Malin says means a great deal to the company:

“Our goal at Stille AB is to roll out the same systems across all our companies. We’ve acquired several in Switzerland and Germany and we want to bring them all into Skovik, so that everything can be used in the same way. That makes my job easier, because I know things are consistent. No matter where in the world you’re based, it’s the same. And from my perspective as payroll lead, that makes things run very smoothly”.

The value Skovik adds

When asked what she likes most about Skovik, Malin concludes that there’s nothing she’s missing. Upon her saying this, we tell her that Madeleine told us the exact same thing when we spoke to her just a couple of days prior. Malin laughs at the mention of this and says: And we didn’t even talk about it beforehand. I think that says a lot. I genuinely don’t understand what else I could need. That means it’s really good.

Malin also says that she would have a lot more to do if it wasn’t for Skovik and its ease of use: I use a lot of systems that are overly complicated. They require you to do a lot of things manually. But here, there’s hardly any manual work. It’s just a few clicks, and you’re done.

Skovik is time-saving for Stille also in the sense that the users don’t often need help in the system. Everyone seems really positive, and no one’s ever said “Ugh, Skovik is such a pain”, I’ve honestly never heard that. And I don’t say that to sound glamorous, I really think people are happy with it, Malin says. And usually, if something’s not working, you hear about it. People are pretty honest, and that’s important to us.

The system’s ease of use, for both end-users and admins, is one of the reasons as to why both Malin and Madeleine would recommend Skovik. You should definitely go with Skovik! Malin exclaims when asked what she would say if another company asked her about us.

She adds:

“I really like Skovik, I guess I’m even a bit passionate about it. I could go around telling the whole town how much I like it”.
