We sat down with Group Accounting Director Lotta Svensson and Accountant Eva Magnusson, who took part in implementing Skovik at Oncopeptides. They are admins of the system and part of Oncopeptides’ approval workflow. Their broad knowledge about the system set us up for a very insightful chat about their experience with Skovik.
Choosing Skovik
Lotta and Eva explained that Oncopeptides started considering Skovik as they were looking for an expense system which was suitable for all of their international subsidiaries. The system that they were using at the time was only working well in Sweden, which meant they weren’t able to onboard their personnel across Italy, Germany and Spain. They were looking for a multilingual system which was adaptable to tax legislation internationally, in order to house all of their employees in one system.
Not only is Skovik built to support global reach, Lotta had used Skovik at an earlier company and had been very pleased. To her, it was an obvious choice: For me it was just like, no, let’s go with Skovik!
.
Getting started with Skovik
Once they had made their decision, getting started with Skovik went smoothly, says Lotta. She recalls that not a lot of work was required on their part and that it was an overall quick process: We were up and running in just a few weeks
.
The admins weren’t the only ones pleased with Skovik, and how easy it was to get familiarised with the system. There were multiple people who, already from the start, said that this is by far the best we’ve experienced
, Eva remembers. They have been happy with Skovik from day one
.
Even the skeptical few, who hadn’t been thrilled about having to learn a new system, quickly got onboard once they were able to try Skovik out for themselves: When they noticed how easy it was… They completely turned around
.
How Skovik has made things easier for Oncopeptides
Eva and Lotta agree that a major benefit of Skovik is the corporate card integration with Eurocard, which enables users to match their card transactions with receipts they’ve uploaded to Skovik: They could sit for hours, an entire day, doing their Eurocard expense reporting. Whilst now, it takes an hour
, Lotta says. They were really grateful for Skovik
, she adds.
Increased efficiency is something Lotta and Eva have experienced as well, partially because they find Skovik easier to navigate than their previous system. I save time when I look at it
, says Eva, referring to how having a better overview of information when approving reports has improved her workflow.
Another time-saving functionality appreciated by Lotta and Eva is the ability to edit details in submitted reports. This removes the back and forth associated with returning a report to the user. Being able to decline only some items in a report while approving the rest of it also streamlines their process, Eva says.
We circle back to the user experience as we’re about to finish the interview. It’s a common theme throughout our conversation, with words such as self-instructive
and easy to understand
being used to describe Skovik.
I would absolutely recommend Skovik
Lotta says as a final remark, noting that she considers the user-friendly nature of the system to be its unique selling point.
